Australian Bollards have updated their innovative E-DS range with a brand new product, the EDS 55. As the name suggests, this unit boasts a stunning 55 inch, LCD display screen featuring a brightness of 2500 housed within a sleek, clean-cut design.
Whilst possessing an edge to edge thickness of just 12 centimetres, Windows compatibility and inbuilt air cooling, this E-DS also thrives as an outdoor device with an anti-corrosion protective layer manufactured to last for more than seven years.
Needless to say, Australian Bollards has continued to raise the bar with the introduction of the EDS 55.
EDS-55 can be used as a Variable Message System to efficiently deliver road information to road users and display real-time traffic conditions, current freeway travel speeds, and road safety messages.
Using this content, road users can plan their journey with the full knowledge of current travelling condition, allowing them to take alternate routes if necessary.

VMS can act as a key element in dynamic traffic management system by providing timely warnings of unusual traffic congestion, traffic crashes, roadwork’s or other hazards that can affect journey time.
EDS-55 also utilises Parking and Guidance Information Systems (PGI), which provide drivers with active information on parking within controlled areas. Combining traffic monitoring, communication, processing and VMS technologies, it can provide information to car drivers about vacant parking spaces by directing them to car parks where occupancy levels are low, which reduced their search time and traffic congestion.
